• Desert Sparrow: At Oued Jenna, we saw several hundreds in one flock, and the total was probably well over 500 birds that were present at the site. A very high percentage were fresh juveniles.
• Golden Sparrow: They stick with the Desert Sparrows and even if there are not many of them, they stand out as golden lanterns among their drab cousins. We saw seven birds at one point, but there were probably more of them…
• Golden Nightjar: We spent two nights at Oued Jenna, and were lucky to have one of them without the strong winds.
