Long and unusual migration by a juvenile Scottish Osprey. It left Brittany on 25 September at 15:40 and flew non-stop for 2,522 km averaging 53 kph/33 mph, taking 1d 23h 30m to reach Africa. Strong easterlies in the Bay of Biscay pushed it offshore, but it recovered in the end!
Another remarkable journey from a young Scottish Osprey – non stop UK to Morocco, flying over Brittany without stopping. A massive contrast between where it last roosted in England and it next set foot on the ground on coastal cliffs in Morocco! (Movetech Telemetry, https://twitter.com/Movetech_GPS)
