Abstract:

First record of the Red-knobbed Coot Fulica cristata in Merdjet Sidi Abed, Relizane, north-west Algeria.

This work concerns the confirmed observation of the Red-knobbed Coot Fulica cristata, a species rarely reported in Algerian wetlands. This Rallid was recorded at Merdjet Sidi Abed in north-west Algeria in May 2022. With this observation, a new observation site for this species has been identified.
