Since 10 years, nearly 90 Spanish Imperial Eagles have been released South of Cadiz, Andalucía, Spain, and a new breeding population is now settled in this area. This year, they have released six birds with GPS transmitters, and… four of them are now in Morocco! One is now is located near Tan Tan after crossing the Atlas Mountains. Two others crossed the Middle Atlas; one of them is going to the SW and is located near Tata, the other is near Errachidia. The 4th one has crossed the Strait of Gibraltar on 30 Sept and is roosting South of Fez (a 5th one has been watched crossing to Africa also on 30 Sept) (J.R. Garrido via Facebook)
