Abstract:

Remarkable increase in the wintering population of the Red-crested Pochard Netta rufina in Tunisia. The Red-crested Pochard is considered a rare wintering species in Tunisia, usually observed in very small numbers. This article reports on unpublished observations made between 2014 and 2026 and documents the largest gatherings of this species ever reported in Tunisia during winter.
