Deux Goélands bruns (Larus fuscus) bagués ont été observés à Essaouira le 5 avril 2023 par les birdwatcheurs finlandais Valtteri Salonen et Paul Boijer.

Le Goéland brun (principalement de la sous-espèce graellsii) est l’une des laridés les plus abondants au Maroc en hiver. La sous-espèce nominale (fuscus) est une rarité.

Lesser Black-backed Gull (mainly of the graellsii subspecies) is one of the most abundant gull species in Morocco during winter. The nominate subspecies (fuscus) is still a rarity.
