At Merzouga, a female Blue-winged Teal (Spatula discors, Sarcelle à ailes bleues) on 26 February then two on 5 March (Marc Illa).

This is an exceptional year for this species in Morocco with 3 records (4 birds) so far (a female at Rabat on 10 February, a male at Dar Bouazza on 2 March, and these 2 birds). Merzouga is quite far from the Atlantic coast !
