We have reported the recent records of Yeray Seminario, Gorka Gorospe, Alexandre Justo and Javi Elorriaga in the region of Dakhla – Aousserd – Bir Anzarane (posts of 28, 29 and 30 January).
They also got other interesting sightings:
- Pomarine Jaeger: one in the Bay of Dakhla on 21 January
- Cream-coloured Courser: recently fledged young at Bir Anzarane on 22 January
- Little Owl: one at Laglat on 17 January and two near the PK40 on the road to Bir Anzarane on 21 January
- Turtle Dove: one at Dakhla on 16 January. 2nd winter record in the Atlantic Sahara
- Dunn’s and Bar-tailed Larks: breeding on the road to Bir Anzarane on 22 January (BTL carrying food, DL carrying nesting material)
- Red-throated Pipit: 4 near the PK40 on the road to Bir Anzarane on 22 January
- Black-eared Wheatear : one at Oued Jenna on 17 January and one at Laglat the next day
- Spectacled Warbler: breeding near the PK40 on the road to Bir Anzarane on 22 January (2 adults carrying food and an occupied nest)
- Desert Warbler: one near Bir Anzarane on 22 January
- Sahara Bunting: one at Dakhla City on 22-23 January. Cette observation confirme l’installation probablement pérenne de l’espèce à Dakhla
- Corn Bunting: 2 near the PK40 on the road to Bir Anzarane on 22 January. The southernmost record in the Atlantic Sahara
